Problem -
FLUID LEAKAGE FROM PAS FLUID RESERVOIR
A customer complaint of fluid leakage is confirmed to originate from the base of the Power Assisted Steering (PAS) fluid reservoir.
Cause
PAS fluid leak at the reservoir to low pressure hose connection.
Action
Replace the PAS fluid reservoir and low pressure hose clip with the modified parts detailed in PARTS INFORMATION.
- Position container to collect fluid.
- Clean area around hose connections, release clips and disconnect hoses.
- Release reservoir from mounting bracket.
- Fit new reservoir QFX100252 to bracket.
- Connect hoses, using new clip PYC101220L on the low pressure hose connection, (arrowed in illustration).
- Top up and bleed system, Workshop Manual repair number 57.15.02 refers.
