Problem -
NOISE FROM DRIVERS FOOTWELL ON ENGINE START - BRAKE MODULATOR
Approximately one second after engine start a hydraulic noise from the vicinity of the drivers footwell may be briefly heard.
Cause
ABS modulator priming as system completes self test
Action
Reassure customer that all is well. Explain that the noise is the result of a completely normal function of an ABS system and is not detrimental in any way. A statement to this effect will be added to the Owners Handbook LRL0131 - 3rd Edition.
