Problem -
HEATER BLOWER WHISTLE - HOLE IN HOUSING
Constant whistle noise when heater blower is switched on. Condition is more pronounced with controls in face level vent position. The whistle actually appears to be originating from face vent area.
Cause
Air drawn through a redundant hole in the heater blower motor housing.
Action
Identify area by viewing motor housing from the right hand footwell area. The heater suppliers identification label should be covering the redundant hole, in some instances it has not been applied correctly.
De-grease area and apply a suitable piece of adhesive tape to cover hole, illustration shows the hole position.
