Problem -
HIGH-PITCHED SQUEAL FROM THE AUXILIARY DRIVE BELT
A high-pitched squeal may be heard when the engine is started, at idle and / or at engine speeds up to 3000 rev/min, in areas of high ambient temperatures and extreme humidity.
Cause
The auxiliary drive belt slips on the A/C pulley due to high ambient temperatures and extreme humidity.
Action
Where a complaint of the above is confirmed, replace the auxiliary drive belt with a new drive belt now available from Land Rover parts.
