Freelander - Fitting CD Changer continued
Fitting CD Changer (STC50163) continued....

Cut carpet as shown (note measurements) and route cable as shown. |
 |
Feed cable through cut. |
 |
Replace console carefully. |
 |
Ensure wire clip is held secure by fascia screw. |
 |
Refit screws under rear ashtray. |
 |
Refit screws under handbrake. |
 |
Replace panel covering screws. |
 |
Replace rear ashtray. |
 |
Refit gear lever gaiter noting clips go under fascia. |
 |
Replace seat in vehicle. |
 |
Carefully tilt seat backwards and reconnect pre-tensioner wire, note how this is retained in the underside of the seat. |

On LHD vehicles connect the CD Changer and route the cable as shown securing with cable ties. Ensure the cable does not interfere with the pre-tensioner. |
 |
On RHD vehicles connect the CD Changer, there should be no need to secure the cable. Ensure the cable does not interfere with the pre-tensioner. |
 |
Refit seat runners with screws and secure. Check these are all tightened correctly. |
 |
Slide the sear forwards. |
 |
Check operation of seat in that moving from fully forwards to fully back does not disconnect pre-tensioner cable. Then put seat fully forwards. |
 |
Secure runner covers, with three screws. |
 |
Refit seat panels and secure with screws and refit screw covers. |
 |
Reconnect the battery, Live first. Check operation, Note the Radio code will need to be re-entered. |
