Problem -
WATER DRIPPING ONTO CENTRE CONSOLE - ROOF AERIAL
Cause
Roof aerial rubber seal poorly fitted.
Action
Refit roof aerial rubber seal as follows, (repair number 86.50.18):
1. To gain access to aerial fixing, first release roof lamp from headlining.
2. Remove nut securing coaxial cable to aerial base and disengage cable from aerial fixing.
3. Before removing aerial inspect underside of seal from inside vehicle, this should show that seal has been inserted incorrectly through roof location.
4. Remove aerial and seal, clean any road debris from mating components and refit correctly to roof. Ensure that seal is now correctly positioned by passing the grommet section through its roof panel location.
5. Re-connect coaxial cable and tighten nut.
6. Locally water test around outer aerial location while viewing from inside to confirm satisfactory repair.
7. Re-position and secure roof lamp.
