Problem -
REAR CONSOLE LID CATCH BROKEN
Cause
The rear console lid detaches from the cubby box and the catch becomes misaligned to the console. When the lid is closed in this condition the catch breaks.
Action
Where a complaint of the above is confirmed, replace the rear console lid with a new lid, which is now available from Land Rover parts.
1. Remove the oddments tray liner from the console lid.
2. Raise the console lid and remove 4 screws securing the console lid and cubby box to the console.
3. Carefully remove the console lid and cubby box from the console.
4. Release the console lid from the cubby box.
5. Clean console rear finisher, within the dotted line area, (arrowed in illustration 1).

6. Cut rubber pad AZF100040, to fit within the dotted line, (arrowed in illustration 1), and fix to the top edge of the console finisher. The rubber pad stops the hinge from detaching.
7. Fit and secure a new console lid FJB100370LPR to the cubby box.
8. Carefully fit console lid and cubby box to the console and secure with 4 screws.
9. Fit the oddments tray liner to the console lid.
10.Check operation of the console lid.
