Re-Issue Information
Problem -
SUNROOF WIND DEFLECTOR ADRIFT
The deflector is found to be detached from the pivot on the left or right hand glass lifting assembly.
Cause
The dimension between the left hand and right hand deflector mounting points is incorrect.
Action
On customer complaint of the sunroof deflector adrift proceed as follows:
1. Fully open sunroof.
2. Carefully release the deflector from whichever mounting point is still attached, (A in illustration) and from the retaining pegs under the roof skin, (B in illustration).
3. Remove deflector.
4. Measure the distance across the roof between the deflector mounting points. A dimension of 810mm is required.
5. To achieve this, adjust the two pivots by carefully bending each an equal distance outboard until the dimension between them is the required 810mm.
6. Carefully refit the deflector to the mounting points and locate the retaining pegs under the roof skin.
7. Close sunroof.
